I try to make a difference — in business and in life. My aspiration is to maximise learning in everything I do and to translate what I learned into achieving better outcomes for the business and the world.
I have passion for learning, technology, mastery, and creating real customer and business value. I get a lot of energy also from helping people and organisations grow, from creating products that customers love, and from accelerating organisational and team performance.
Outside of work, I keep my brain busy with things like:
Effective Altruism — mainly longtermism, existential risks, AI, and global health
Philosophy — mainly consequentialism/utilitarianism, theory of mind, free will
Rationality — mainly decision theory, cognitive biases
Ethics — mainly suffering-focused ethics, applied ethics, ethical implications of technology, free speech
I have too many heroes to list here, but some of the key people I have been learning from the most are Peter Singer, Bertrand Russell, John Rawls, William MacAskill, Richard Dawkins, John Stuart Mill, Nick Bostrom, Christopher Hitchens, Toby Ord and Charlie Munger.
