Outside of work, I keep my brain busy with things like:

• Effective Altruism — global health, longtermism, existential risks and AI

• Philosophy — mainly consequentialism/utilitarianism, theory of mind, free will

• Rationality — decision theory, decision under uncertainty, cognitive biases

• Ethics — mainly suffering-focused ethics, applied ethics, moral uncertainty, ethical implications of technology, free speech

There are many people whom I admire and whose work inspires me. Some of the key people that influenced me the most are Peter Singer, Bertrand Russell, John Rawls, William MacAskill, Richard Dawkins, John Stuart Mill, Nick Bostrom, Christopher Hitchens, Toby Ord and Charlie Munger.
